I'm glad this is the last day we'll be going to the fair until 2009. I'm exhausted!! And all I did was stand and watch Colden have fun. It was really hot, and got really crowded the later it got. But it was truly worth it to see how excited Colden was when he got off a ride and said "One more time!" He's getting so independent, it makes me a little sad. He'd say "I'll go get in line, you wait here for me." If I was able to keep my eye on him, I would let him do it. He's growing up so fast!! We went and saw the giant horse and giant cow. I took pictures, but you can't tell how big they are so I'm not going to post them. But they were HUGE!!! Enjoy the pictures - see you next time!!

OC Fair
Yesterday, 7/27, Todd, Colden and I went to the fair. We had a good time. We spent most of the time at the petting zoo and looking at the animals. I had to keep telling Colden that he wasn't going on any rides or playing any games because we're going back on Tuesday when he get's unlimited rides for $20 (a huge bargain!) He was okay with that. He shared a gooey cinnamon roll with Todd - he loved it!! Can't wait to go back on Tuesday and watch him on the rides :)
Aquarium of the Pacific
I wasn't sure what to do with Colden today. Thought about going to the beach, but it was a little gloomy out. We decided to go to the aquarium. It was great! Not too many people there. Just a few school groups, but when we saw them, we just went to another area. Colden is getting braver and finally wanted to touch the sharks and bat rays in the shallow pools. But he totally freaked out when a lorikeet landed on his head - not once, but twice!! I think he probably gave that poor bird a heart attack when he swiped at it. As far as souveniers go, I got off cheap - just 51 cents for one of those pressed pennies - he was thrilled!! And so was I :)
